ESS Cross-Series is a specific system of ballistic protection from the ESS (Eye Safety Systems), American manufacturer of eyewear. It is a system of interchangeable lenses that can be combined with different ESS frames according to your needs. It was designed to increase benefits from complete compatibility of the ESS Cross-Series eyeshield platforms. There are different levels from basic to premium lenses.
ESS Cross-Series allows complete compability of ESS lenses and frames, in between ESS Crosshair, Crossbow, Suppressor and Crossblade series.
For example, as part of the ESS Cross-Series, the Crosshair can be upgraded at any time with premium anti-fog Crossbow lenses, including the high-impact Polarized Gray option, as well as it can also be adapted for use under hearing pro and comms gear with ESS’ ultra-thin Suppressor frames.
Four different levels
As already mentioned, ESS Cross-Series allows complete compability between four different ESS levels: Crosshair, Crossbow, Suppressor a Crossblade.
ESS Crosshair
Although this is a entry-level of Cross-Series, Crosshair delivers excellent features to protect your eyesight while providing all-day comfort.
The ESS Crosshair™ exceeds ANSI Z87.1 optical standards and U.S. Military impact requirements (eyewear provides wearers with protection against impact hazards).
The frame provides all-day comfort and a universal fit.
ESS Crossbow
Crossbow is a premium level and, compared to the entry-level, it offers several advanced and groundbreaking features. For example ClearZone FlowCoat techniology, engineered to eliminate fog inside and prevent scratches outside.
Distortion-free vision, even if you stare down through your objective, is provided by ESSOPTICS technology. When you're ready to switch tints, the innovative DedBolt Lens Lock pivots up for easy release, then clamps down for rock-solid retention under impact.
The Tri-Tech Fit frame achieves an amazing universal fit with max comfort and zero pressure points.
ESS Suppressor
The ESS Crossbow Suppressor is the first spectacle frame designed for use with ear cup hearing protection and communications devices. Featuring Z-Bend Geometry, the frame's ultra-thin temple arms help keep noise out by minimizing the effect on the padded seal of ear cups.
These lenses feature distortion-free ESSOPTICS and ClearZone FlowCoat technology to combat fogging on the inside and scratches on the outside. The frame's DedBolt Lens Lock provides quick lens interchange and rock-solid retention under impact.
ESS Crossblade
Within Crossblade series, users can choose between a Standard lens and nosepiece or NARO lens and NARO nosepiece. With the modular system, the Crossblade™ can be set specifically to fit the end user’s facial structure. Modular Fit equals performance and comfort and Crossblade's Tri-Tech Fit™ frame features a snug fit with zero pressure points.
